This is the main program in the Desktop Textures Suite. Use it to install the included or any other textures, collect textures, or create textures from PICTs. If you double-click any of the included Texture Files, this application will be launched.
The operation of this program is explained in detail in the on-line help within the Installer application. This comprehensive help window will be displayed the first time you run the application or when you choose the "Texture Installer Help" menu item under the Apple menu or the System 7 Balloon Help menu.
This program supports Apple Events and Balloon Help and will run under System 6 or 7 and A/UX. Color QuickDraw is necessary, and 32-bit QuickDraw will be needed to use the textures in Textures Volume II or later. Most Macs have 32-bit QuickDraw in ROM, but some System 6 users (those with SE/30, Mac II, IIx, IIcx or Portable Macintoshes) will need to use the 32-bit QuickDraw extension, er, INIT. (But this program works much better and has many more features under System 7, anyway.)
